FerroNATS signs strategic alliance with NATS and FTE Jerez

This alliance brings together the know-how of FerroNATS' and NATS' professionals and the controller training experience boasted by the Jerez-based flight training academy.

FerroNATS, Spain’s leading provider of air traffic control services, has entered into a strategic agreement with NATS and FTE Jerez that will make the Jerez-based flight training school a European benchmark. This initiative highlights the three companies’ commitment to offering traffic controllers the best training opportunities.

Thanks to this agreement the Jerez air traffic control training centre will be a standard bearer in the sector in combining the finest equipment (next-generation simulators, precise virtual reproduction of real-life situations, etc.) with the subject matter know-how contributed by these three companies’ professionals. With capacity to train over 50 students each year, the centre will offer air traffic control training to cadets from all over Europe, while also providing active air traffic controllers with access to a top-quality and efficient continual learning platform. Under the terms of the agreement reached, certain students, depending on their performance, will gain direct access to FerroNATS’s job pool.

Gonzalo Cañete, Managing Director of FerroNATS, said, “This agreement marks an important milestone for a relatively new company such as FerroNATS as it will enable us to cooperate with benchmark international sector players, such as FTE and NATS, in an area of crucial importance to our business: training”.

Meanwhile, Richard Deakin, CEO of NATS, noted that: “Having access to top quality training is the absolute foundation of our industry. I am therefore delighted that through this agreement, NATS will be able work with FTE and FerroNATS to help nurture the next generation of controllers from across Europe”.

According to Oscar Sordo, Chief Executive of FTEJerez, "We are thrilled to ally with industry leaders of the calibre of FerroNATS and NATS. This initiative will allow us to offer our students the best training, adding to their industry knowledge and boosting their job opportunities".
