FerroNATS starts the transition process in five control towers

FerroNATS has started the transition process in the first five air control towers.

FerroNATS, company selected by Aena after a public tender process to provide air traffic control in the airports of Alicante, Valencia, Ibiza, Sevilla, Vigo, A Coruña, Sabadell, Madrid-Cuatro Vientos, Jerez de la Frontera and Melilla, has started the transition process to take over the control in five of them.

This transition process, which kicked off last summer, enables the training and formation of the controllers recruited by ferroNATS at the job desk and it will end up once control services are totally transferred to ferroNATS by the provider currently carrying it out at the different locations.

Towers involved in this transition process are Jerez de la Frontera, Sabadell, Vigo, A Coruña and Madrid Cuatro-Vientos and it is expected the effective initial date for ferroNATS operations will take place at some stage during Autumn.
