FerroNATS starts transition period in Seville and Valencia

FerroNATS continues firmly with the transition process to provide the service in the towers awarded.

FerroNATS, the Company awarded by AENA in public tender with the provision of air traffic control services at Alicante, Valencia, Ibiza, Seville, Vigo, A Coruña, Sabadell, Madrid-Cuatro Vientos, Jerez de la Frontera and Melilla airports, has started the transition process in Sevilla and Valencia in recent weeks.

Taking into account these two airports there are already seven where FerroNATS is currently in the transition process which will lead to the provision of air traffic control services.

Sevilla and Valencia together account for more than 9 million passengers annually and more than 100,000 operations managed. The transition process, in which the training of the new controllers will be carried out at the workplace and under real traffic circumstances, it is expected to be completed for both airports during the winter 2012-2013.
